New January Call on wheat open!

Ceres Agri-Tech is pleased to announce that for this January 2025 call we have been working with our international partners to identify the common challenges facing wheat growers in both the East of England and Australia. This builds upon the international links developed in our Agri-Tech Global programme. Our plans are to consolidate the link by funding projects that will support the wheat sector in both the UK and Australia.

Projects should deliver

• common innovations that support the sustainable intensification of wheat production in both UK and Australia.

Potential projects could increase wheat yields, productivity, sustainability and/or resilience to climate change (excluding traditional plant variety breeding and GMOs), novel pest and disease control (excluding small molecule agro-chemicals), rapid, accurate and cost-effective pest and disease detection tools, fertiliser or water optimisation.

Projects have the option to work with international partners, particularly those in Australia, if this enhances their proposed agri-tech innovations.

This current open call (January 2025) has funding available for small projects of £20,000-50,000 with a maximum duration of 6 months.
