Ceres at launch of Platform10 Global Partner Network

Ceres Director Louise Sutherland participated in the Platform10 Global Partner Network panel discussion at the 2024 Salinas Biological summit this week. Joining her on the panel were Richard Newcomb from the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Ltd., Livia Esterhazy Programme Director at A Lighter touch (New Zealand), Louise Thatcher from CSIRO, Jesper Vibe-Hansen Minister-Counsellor for Food and Agriculture at the Embassy of Denmark in Washington DC and moderated by Peter Wren-Hilton founder and CEO of Wharf42.

The panel session marked the launch of a global Platform10 Grower Trial Network supported by science, industry and investment. Platform10 is an international multi-year collaboration focussed on accelerating promising biopesticide companies by rigorously assessing products, building grower confidence and facilitating market development and adoption. The network was established to bring growers to the centre of the innovation system. Upcoming field trials include tomatoes, grapes, leafy greens, strawberries and citrus.
